Dr. Gabriel Y. Asante, Senior Programme Manager, Fiscal Policy, Debt Management and Regional Integration Department. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Statistics
from the University of Ghana and a master’s degree in Economic Policy Management also from the University of Ghana. In addition to his academic qualifications, Dr. Asante holds a
professional qualification (Level II) of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA-UK). He holds Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Management (Finance) from Walden University
(USA). Dr. Asante’s areas in expertise include Research Methods, Macroeconomics, and Finance.
Between 1998 and 2010, he has worked as a research and policy analyst with the Internal Revenue Service, Ghana, and rose to the rank of Senior Inspector of Taxes (SIT). He served
as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Ghana Telecom University College, and Regent University College of Science and Technology where he taught Financial & Investment Management,
Research Methods, Econometrics, and Accounting.
He has served on many supervisory committees at both undergraduate and MBA levels. He has to his credit the publication of “Basic Statistics Made Easy”.
